Market Spotlight
The USD/CAD pair trades in positive territory around 1.3950 during the early sessions on Monday. The USD strengthens against the CAD, the highest since April 3, amid intensified geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Furthermore, a stronger-than-expected US jobs report has reignited expectations that the US Fed may raise the interest rate later this year, lifting the Greenback. Markets are now pricing in more than a 70% chance that the Fed will raise rates in December, sharply up from a 45% probability a week ago, according to the CME FedWatch tool.
